Your baby is here — and now everything gets to slow down a little. That’s exactly how the shoot works with me, too.
The newborn photo session takes place in my studio in Vienna-Penzing (14th district) — warm, quiet, and lovingly furnished. We take as much time as your baby needs: for feeding, changing, and cuddling. No stress, no time pressure.
In the studio, you’ll find lovingly selected accessories made from natural fabrics — cozy blankets, delicate headbands, baskets, and boxes — for timeless, artistic newborn photos entirely in my fine-art style.
Of course, I also take family and sibling photos — because the first pictures as a new family are just as priceless as those of the baby alone.
You probably found me through my website or social media — and that’s exactly why sharing my work matters so much to me. It’s the only way future moms like you can see how I work and what style I follow. To keep my images fresh, individual, and unique, I invest every month in new handmade outfits, delicate hats, elegant maternity gowns, and lovely accessories — all so your photos truly turn out special.
As a small thank-you, you’ll receive 3 extra digital photos worth €60 if you agree to let me publish your photos. If you prefer, this can of course be done completely anonymously — no name, no personal details.
You’ll receive the extra photos regardless of whether I ultimately use the images — the gift is simply for your consent.
It’s best to keep your baby awake for a little while before the session — 20 to 30 minutes is enough. After that, a good feeding at the studio helps your baby feel nicely full and sleepy. Full, sleepy, and relaxed — that’s the perfect starting point for the first photos.
Important: Make sure your baby has burped well before we start, so there’s no uncomfortable trapped air. If you use a pacifier, please bring it along — sometimes just a few seconds with it is enough to settle your baby.
No stress — this happens and is completely normal. Every baby falls asleep sooner or later. If your baby is unsettled, I’ll start by gently wrapping them. Swaddling gives your baby a sense of security — almost like being back in the womb — and most babies fall asleep within a few minutes.
The studio is kept cozy and warm, and soothing white noise plays throughout the session. I will never rush your baby — we have the whole day just for you. Your baby is the only, and most important, guest of the day.
I always follow your baby’s lead — their mood, their pace, their personality. Every baby is different, and that’s beautiful. If a pose or set-up isn’t working, I simply switch — no pressure, no rushing.
On the beanbag, timeless newborn photos are created with your baby as the sole focus — pure, delicate, and unforgettable. Using baskets, blankets, and accessories made from natural fabrics, we also create atmospheric fine-art shots in calm, natural colors.
Breaks are completely normal and always welcome — for feeding, changing, or simply cuddling. We have no other appointments scheduled on your shoot day.
It’s completely normal for your baby to want to feed more often during the shoot — I move them gently more than they’re used to at home, which takes extra energy. Take all the time you need. The most beautiful photos happen anyway when everyone is relaxed.
If siblings are present, we start with the family photos — so your older child can focus on the baby before their attention fades. Swaddling the baby is especially practical here, as it can be held safely and securely.
After the family photos, the sibling is welcome to stay — or dad can take them for a little walk while we keep shooting. Once the family and sibling photos are done, I continue photographing the newborn alone — calm, gentle, and entirely in my style.
Once we’re finished, you can take your time feeding and dressing your baby. We’ll go over the next steps together: when you’ll receive the link to your online gallery, how the photo selection works, and what happens after that. Of course, I’m also happy to answer any remaining questions.
And then you get to look forward to your finished photos – and I can hardly wait to show them to you.
